Dual alt brackets for F150 4.6L

If you can get an alt that does 180 at idle and 250 at speed with the power you are going to run I personally wouldn't worry about a 2nd alt

Never hurts to go overkill on electrical, will only make you more power. Depending on budget and hassle with two alts may not hurt to run 1, assess the situation and then upgrade to the 2nd if its required. I'm kind of cheap so thats how I think.

Ya me 2. And I met amps, not watts lol.

 
my voltage figures above were with only 1 run of 1/0 neg and pos....a higher amp alt at idle and two runs each would probably be pretty **** solid on 3kw

 
last i saw it was 8x 1/0. you have since had an epiphany i suppose.
Ya I did. No need for it, yet at least.

I run two a 275a 12v and a 300a 16v, great alts also have DC power on my daily rides.

Independant charging systems, 16v system has its own regulator, harness, etc.. The 12v operates just like OEM, just upgraded. Single trigger wire to the ignition switch to makes the 16v system function.
