Most efficient 3000+rms mono amp??

im looking for 3000-4000rms at 1ohm for daily. i was looking at mmats, but isnt that rated at 2700rms at 1ohm? not that 300w is a big difference but how much are you asking for your mmats? hows the turn on thump with the mmats?
Mmats is nicely under-rated. It does well in the lanes and in IASCA because of that. They don't brag about their real ability to do above rated power in "car-on" situations because of it. Have you heard the term "cheater amp"? I have never heard a "turn on" thump with mine. It was the first amp "on" with ignition, in my system and was absolutely silent (no thump on/off).

The one I have on auction is bid to $500 at this point. I don't know what it will go to in the last couple days. Just giving you an idea of what's out there. Mmats is not a name thats focus is "low price". It is high-end.

I've always loved the quality and power of mmats. plus they run at about 90% efficiency. i am gonna watch your amp and see how high it goes. i think i want to try the PA sl5500d and see what kind of results i get. i dont think anybody is running one of those yet. its rated at 4200rms. it was either the PA or the Earthquake PH5000d.

Absolutely.

Don't forget... you only get out what you put in (plus loss of efficiency). Most stock alternators can barely feed a 1000W RMS system properly without dipping the system to low-volt discharging battery voltage in a matter of moments. You are absolutely correct to be seeking efficiency, as this kind of output will require some very serious sustained current (Amps) to feed effectively (otherwise, 3kW can quickly become 1kW ((or less)), or clipping).

Horn would be the most efficient. Ported would be efficient and easier.

I get it. I'd never run a tone through at full tilt to test just how much they can take before it goes all willie nelson either 🤣

I had two Skar amps (4ch & a monoblock) go bad within a year. Post #2 is an excellent recommendation.
