MTX Subwoofer

Hello, I have this old MTX subwoofer that a friend gave me, and I don't know if I should or even can put this in my truck yet. I drive a s10 with the extended cab, and I think it fits in the back, behind the driver seat. So do you think this sub is good?

Either way, I'm getting an amp for my speakers; I installed these-Amazon.com: Polk Audio DB651s Slim-Mount 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair): Electronics. My Kenwood head unit doesn't supply enough power to reach these speaker's peak performance. I was looking at an amp like this; Amazon.com: Pyle PLA4478 4 Ch 4000 Watts Bridgeable Mosfet Amplifier: Electronics. So what do you think?

It all depends on how far back you like to put your seats.

As far as good, yes its a good sub seeing as how it was given to you. Its a good starting point.

Pull one of the drivers out. There should be a # on the motor.

can't go wrong with free. if it fits your truck, use it till you decide otherwise. if not sell it, either way your out nothing.

yea, so i think i'm going to buy that amp and get this sub installed with it. depends how much the install is gonna cost me.

do it yourself and save hundreds. plus you'll know your way around the system next time you come to replace it or need to fix somethin. trust me, just do a little research and you'll be fine lol
