Hee hee! I used to say about my musician friends that a musician's way of electrically joining two wires was to strip the two wires, lay the conductors across one another and put a book on them to hold them together!Is it bad to say ive seen worse? But its easy to do just twist the wires together, tape them, then tape the whole harness together to make it more sturdy
Solder and heat shrink.those are crimp caps and probably 80% of stereo have them, never seen a problem with them on 100's of installs
