Ok so my amplifier is ~ 1150w rms at 2 ohms
According to some website calculator i should have ~ 48 volts coming out the speaker terminals
I played a 50 hz test tone with all equlization off and 3/4 volume on cd player
And set the gain until i got ~ 48 volts
My question is say I am using wires that are too small.
Say 5 gauge power for 1150w rms and 6 gauge ground
I KNOW this is to small and my 0 gauge should be here thursday ...
I plan on doing the big 3 as well when they arrive
Anyway, will larger wires make my subs louder ?
And when I re-do my wiring ... Should I reset the gain or not ?
Say im getting 12 volts of power to the amplifier
If I re-wire and then get 13 volts it will be noticably louder ?
Im just confused haha someone clear things up for me.
