Replacement 8" subwoofer for JL 8w3

Hey guys, I'm new here. I'm currently driving a 14 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. There is no room under the seats and barely any room behind them. I barely fit a CP108LG-W3v3 which is a very small ported box that holds 1 JL 8w3. The JL blew and I was hoping someone could recommend another 8" sub that would work in that JL box?

The truck is leased, and will be going back in a little over a year. I don't want to spend much money. Is there anything that would work in that box that would be a better value, or should I just buy another one? Thanks

Here's a link to the box with specs

I would do the Jl again and set your gain correctly. That sub should not have blown if you powered it correctly. Jl makes a great product and that box will get you solid output from a single 8

That's what I was thinking. I figured I'd ask the pros first. I never heard any distortion from it. I didn't think I pushed it that hard. It was a good little sub for the size of the box, but no where near the hype of the online reviews.

What do you think about the difference between the JL ported 8" or the sealed 10"? I might be able to fit the shallow 10" box. Would it be any better?

Many 8's on the market right now....even non mainstream brands.

Question is how much $$ are you willing to spend and do you have the tools and know how to build a box?

Thanks for all the great replies. I realized the JL was still under warranty. Went back to the place I bought it. Turns out it wasn't even blown. My ground was corroded. So even though my amp was lit up and fuses were good, it wasn't putting out any power. I'm back up and running. I think I may add a second one though:)
