Went to the junkyard today(for the tuner guys)

I wish I had a fun little car to play with too instead of just a truck but I cant drive a RWD around here and cant realy find any FWDs that I like all that much... All thou the new Civics ar awesome

 
**** only reason I got mine so cheap is bc my buddys wife is makin him get rid of it and he'd rather sell it cheap to a friend and see it done right than sell it to an idiot. even tho its gonna be mainly a "track" car it's still gonna have a small system in it. got a friend who does fiberglass work and we are gonna try fiberglassing an sa10 into the spare tire well

 
no clue on a power goal. idk **** about what kinda power these put out modded so I can't even guesstimate.
Turbo'd ive saw d-series do 800+ but that serious... 400 is easy to hit.. All motor d-series 160+ to the wheels is doing good lol, GSR's b18's will do 350 pretty easy on stock internals.. non vtec b18's not my thing i know jack **** lol.

I would I would take it too just to save some gas $$$

I cant help much here since Im mostly diesel but have dabbled a little in civics

 
well I'm lookin to build the motor capable of doin 11-12 sec runs. suspension I've already got figured out so that's not an issue. So are you sayin I'd be better off with the d16z6?

well then I guess I'm goin back to the junkyard tomorrow and rippin out that z6. should I get the tranny with it also?

it'd be nice not doin a typical dohc swap, several of the local racers have b16 and 18 swaps and I like to do things a little differently than everyone else

since you have one do you know of any way to lengthen the seat brackets? I'm 6' 2" and it's a lil snug for me

 
I would, i ran my ex tranny with boost, nothing serious stock internals probally making like 160-170 but it was fine, you will see dumb ***'s telling you to run like a dx or cx trans for long gearing because its best with boost.. but my standpoint is : The ex trans is the shortest geared d-series trans, and it still has longer gears than any B-series trans.. B-series guys are fine with there short geared trans.. See what im saying lol..
