Add Alexa to vx7020A

We have a motor home with a VX7020A sound system. We have an Amazon Alexa Auto. Though we plug the Alexa into the usb on the sound system, the sound from Alexa does not come through the system speakers
What are we doing wrong!

I took a quick look at the manual for the Jensen. It only says that the usb is compatible with memory sticks and iPhone and iPod. It makes no mention of being compatible with android or other devices.
