He wants this just smooth and paintable. That makes it alot harder than doing a custom design to it.

 

People who know these dashes know they are plush, soft types with piping around all the edges.

Cut the piping off and wrapped it up.

Resined that up and then filled in the lowest spots with Bondo-glass.

Then went and covered it in regular body filler and then cheese grated that down some.

Thats as far as I am on that part of the dash.

 

 

 

 

But these dashes have a seperate top piece that is made of plastic. This one is old and broke in some places.

Dominion Seal Plastic Surgery is a 2 part mix that fixes that.

Put back together.

You can see it on top of the dash sanded down and ready for primer in some of the other dash pics.

The custom cutlass dash I did before was his cousin. But that was all I did for his cousin. He is wanting to do his doors, rear deck and all the side panels inside. So we will see when the times comes. He is one of those people that are prone to change their mind regularly.
