Just got my new subs in the mail... are they fvcked up?

Just got my rockford fosgate 4" coil little beasts (HX2 POWER 10") and I think there might be a couple of problems.

Now for one, I've never actually seen, touched, or even heard a pair of these woofers until now, so maybe they're just like that. But it really does seem that the suspension is WAAAAAAAAAY to soft. My winkie a$$ kicker comps that are MORE than broken in and see 100W rms are way stiffer. I would assuming something with a small cone area as a 10" and 1000W+ rms would have a hella stiff suspension. With the physical weight of that 4" voice coil (I can feel it...it's a solid ************) and the soft suspension, the Fs has got to be somewhere around like 5Hz lol...

check the spider for rips or cracks its was to loose and will just bottom out when hooked up to power

Its trashed. I wouldn't even bother hooking it up. Get ahold of whomever you bought it from and tell them one of the subs either got damaged in shipping or he knew about it and sent it like that.

My assumption is that if there was weight on the cone pressing it down all the way during the shipping process. It stretched the spider and now its looser than a hookers ******.

That's my guess.

those subs are known to move a lot with little power, but that looks toooo loose.

You should have a local speaker repair guy check them and if anyhting add in some spiders.
