i know this is totally the wrong area for this but it seems to me that most people come through here the most. i just ordered my 160amp alt. today and was wondering if it is hard to install myself or should i take it somewhere to get installed?? thanks for your time guys

If it's a straight bolt on replacement it's pretty simple. Just a couple of bolts to take it off and a couple of bolts for the power and ground. and maybe a little connector. And the lovely belt of course. But it's pretty easy. While your at it you might want to go ahead and upgrade your factory wire to and from the alt.

I think you will be just fine to be honest. Id run it and check it after hammering on it quite a bit and check the temp on the wire by hand to see...

So u know the individual slots on the ISO connectors and where they go? 12 volt red is accessories. etc. Red wire goes to the amplifier...

the AVIC was a tad more complicated to wire not to mention stuffing it in a smallish stereo hole. thanks for advice.
