    Most dependable HU brand w/CD

I'd like to know which brand has the most dependable CD player in it's HU? I've always owned Alpine but I'm beginning to get bugs in it even after I clean my CD lens. I get random static/scratching sound on a couple CD-RWs from time to time and I don't get those sounds on my PC with those same...

What music goes to your system!?

Here's my 70th. I didn't mention he listens to Fity Cent. That's because he can't spell. He never finished High School. And P. Diddy, too. He thought the "P" stood for "Peter" of "Peter, Paul and Mary". Peter Diddy.

What music goes to your system!?

He listens to rap because that's the language he understands. (He's got that ingrained adolescent mentality. It's got nothing to do with the beat.) And he has to listen to Simon and Garfunkel to satisfy his homosexual tendencies. He forgot to mention that he listens to Clay Aiken. He's really...

DV 4 ohm sub/4 ohm amp

@ IMMA What's so funny, you ******? I read that you have to take into account the air that is displaced by the movement of the sub when making an enclosure. And I'm not up on my basic electricity. You enjoy calling others "retarded"? Is that how you get off? Is that still a part of your regular...

DV 4 ohm sub/4 ohm amp

I bought an Alpine dual voice 4 ohm sub. The manual shows wiring for 1 amp @ 2 ohms or 1 amp @ 8 ohms. It doesn't show any wiring for 1 amp @ 4 ohms. The dual voice 2 ohm Alpine model shows wiring for 1 amp @ 4 ohms. Can I wire an amp @ 4 ohms to this DV 4 ohm sub?

    Single/dual voice coils

I'm new to subwoofers. What is the difference between single and dual voice coils? Single 4 ohm and Dual 4 ohm? Does this effect the amp you should use? I'm looking at mid-range power subwoofers.

    Physical noise from subwoofer cone

No, I just bought it. I just wanted to make sure it worked before I mounted it. Guess I'll have to buy another one.

    Physical noise from subwoofer cone

Just bought Rockwood RFP4410 (10-200 W RMS, 400 W Max, 4 ohm) sub and MTX 4202 (200 W RMS bridged into 4 ohm) and I get physical noise from the sub cone when it moves. Is this a bad subwoofer? I wasn't pushing it hard at all. I had just as much noise from the cone as I had bass so something...

The best product to clean interior of car?

Is it Armor All? Or ammonia? Soap/water? Armor All looks good for 3-4 days and it does get some of the dirt off but I don't know.

    Speaker wire gauge and subwoofers

I missed the sticky wire guide. Thanks. I get all my stuff at ebay.

    Speaker wire gauge and subwoofers

Is there a chart for speaker wire gauge vs. subwoofer power? I have a 200 RMS/400 W Max subwoofer being bridged by a 2-channel amp. What gauge wire should I use? I've never had a subwoofer before. My subwoofer (10" RF) also has a spring-loaded speaker terminal. You stick the wire in and the...

    Subwoofer specs (volume)

No, I'm not sad. What's sad is that people would rather use a forum to insult others instead of beng constructive. From what I read you subtract air displacement. Physical speaker displacement can't be 0.038. 0.038 is like the volume of a 3.5" stack of CDs. Hey, I challenged you more than you...

    Subwoofer specs (volume)

Bunch of jackoffs in this place. 15x14x10 enclosure is 1.22 cubic ft. How'd they get 0.75 cubic ft? Subtract so-called "speaker displacement" (0.038) from that and you get 1.18. There's no way the physical speaker displacement is 0.038 cubic ft. The magnet diameter= 5.312 and the depth is...

    Subwoofer specs (volume)

I have RF 10" (bought it used). The specs don't say anything about the physical volume of the subwoofer. They show a sealed enclosure 15x14x10 and they say the enclosed volume is 0.75 cubic ft. Specs say the "Speaker displacement"=0.038 cubic ft. (I assume this is the air displaced.) How do I...

Choosing subwoofer amp for RF subwoofer

I bought a Rockford Fosgate (RFP4410) 400 W (50-200 W RMS) subwoofer. I was looking at a 300 W (150 W RMS) Rockford Fosgate mono amp. Should I look for a little more powerful amp than this? Maybe a 500 W Max amp with 100-200 RMS or will this do fine?
