I was gonna say, in SPL comps a 1.5 dB difference can be the difference between 1st and 4th or 5th place. If you are just trying to annoy those around you, probably not a big deal.

Most Honda headunits do not use "crossovers" or filters for the preamp outs, if your car does not then the cleansweep will be useless. I have heard of the REQ 5 but never heard it in person, will probably be fine. Any Audiocontrol unit will be of high quality, look at ones like the EQL or EQX...

The difference would be attributed to the QUALITY of the preamp section .. not the actual output voltage. Many people that say they hear a difference in CD players can also be attributed to the analog portion of the D/A, not the digital part itself.

as long as the HU output will drive your amp to full power, it makes NO difference. Higher voltage usually is less prone to induced noise and also means the amp gain can be turned down which generally means less hiss at higer volume (mid/tweet amps)
