What amplifier do you have to power it? That will dictate what sub we recommend. There's dozens of subs that will do exactly what you want, under your budget. But we need to know how much power you have for it.

So many subs that outperform the w7... and I'm a JL fan. Too many factors to consider here though. You could have a 2krms sub in a crap box and low power amp... and a cheap sub in a well built box with low power will probably perform better. If you can build a good box and have good electrical... you could support a lot of systems that will outperform a w7 if not in SQ, at least in SPL.

Assume optimal enclosure and around same power handling as the w7, simple.

Its a little out of your price range but if your patient and keep checking the classifieds you can probably find one used.

He asked what subs top it. List subs that top it. Don't everyone try to sound smarter than you are or belittle the guy. Give answers to the question.

FI SP4, SSA XCon, RF Power HX2, IDMAx, RE XXX, Tantric HD.

These are not all by any means "SQL" woofers, just subs that can get loud but if done properly can sound quite good doing so.
