My first setup was sad, but not like some of the stories here.
1988 Jeep Wrangler:
Pioneer DEH-4700MP CD/MP3 from bestbuy.
4x6 Pioneer 3-ways in the dash, run off the head unit.
6x9 Pioneer 3-ways in rear pods, powered off a 2ch Pyramid amp.
2 10" Pioneer subs, powered off another 2ch Pyramid amp.
If anyone knows the speaker placement in wranglers, imaging is the last thing you think of. The speakers were on the sides of the dash, facing directly towards the back. The dash stuck out past the speakers, so all sound was indirect. The rear pods I had were mounted facing each other (Side to side).
Best part is the material I used to make my box. 5/8" particle board, with screw holes. The actual design and implementation was awesome; The material was not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
